JLU Student ID Card
Upon enrollment, students of the Justus Liebig University (JLU) receive an ID card that also serves as a library card.
With a student ID card you can
- borrow items for 28 days
- renew items up to three times
- recall items borrowed by other users
- place holds on items from the closed stacks of the University Library (UB)
To use these services, you require a password.
You can get a password for your user account at the following libraries:
- University Library
- Departmental Library for Life Sciences (ZNL)
- Departmental Library in the Zeughaus
- Departmental Library in Philosophikum II
- Departmental Library for Law and Economics
By using your student ID card to borrow items for the first time, you accept the rules governing the use of the JLU's library system (German).
When you reenroll, the period of validity of your student ID card will be extended automatically in our circulation system.
