NIDIT | Network for Impactful Digital International Teaching Skills
- The project in brief
-
The joint project NIDIT of the three Hessian universities Justus Liebig University Giessen (lead), Philipps University Marburg and THM - University of Applied Sciences has set itself the goal of expanding the competences of lecturers in the digital and international field. The project is funded from 2021-2025 by the Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre.
With the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, almost all university teaching was shifted to the digital space. Due to the spontaneous implementations forced in many places, the options were mostly limited and a multitude of qualitative deficiencies arose. We at the NIDIT project want to use the resulting experiences to find out what defines "good digital teaching" and how lecturers can be better positioned nationally and internationally for a digital future.
To accomplish this, NIDIT is based on the Hochschuldidaktischen Netzwerk Mittelhessen and forms a unique, extended competence network in which expertise for digital, international teaching competences is bundled. NIDIT ensures teaching quality and establishes digital teaching on a long-term basis in an international context.
