Evi Mariana joined the IPPAE (International PhD Program for Agriculture Economics, Bioeconomy, and Rural Development) of JLU in October 2020. She holds an MBA in Small Enterprise Promotion and Training from Leipzig University (2018) and a Bachelor of Political Science from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia (2006). Prior joining JLU, she obtained ten years of working experience in community development where she was involved in the implementation of community development programs for rural communities in Indonesia, especially in the area of local economic development.
Her PhD research focuses on contract design and contract farming between smallholder farmers and agricultural firms in Indonesia.
