TEFLassist
The TEFLassist project, enabled by decentralized funding for quality assurance from FB05 (QSL: (Qualitätssicherung von Studium und Lehre), is dedicated to improving the quality of the student experience. For the first time, the English Department at JLU is implementing an adaptive, AI-driven assistance system, called Charly, which is specifically designed to improve student support in the domain of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). The system offers barrier-free access to study and exam guidance, unconstrained by time or location, ensuring increasingly individualized and timely services for students. Early feedback, as reflected in the evaluation results of beta-test participants, indicates a positive response to this project.
