Vita/Scientific Career

1974-1978: Studies of Agricultural Sciences/Plant Production (Diploma) at the University of Rostock. Diploma thesis in soil sciences.

1978-1981: Doctoral student at the University of Rostock (Germany).

1981-1983: Post at Institute for Agronomy and Grassland Science, University of Rostock.

1983: Doctoral degree “Cultivability of summer oilseed rape (Brassica napus L. var. oleifera) with double low (00) seed quality”, supervision Prof. Dr. Manfred Seiffert, University Rostock.

1983-1989: Postdoc at Institute for Agronomy and Grassland Science, University of Rostock.

1986:   Research stay at Institute of Crop Sciences (Prof. Dr. Jiri Petr), Agricultural University Prague (Czech Republic).

1989: Habilitation “Variety-specific cultivation technique of triticale (x Triticosecale Wittmack)” (University of Rostock).

1989-1992: Post as university lecturer at the Institute for Agronomy and Grassland Science, University of Rostock (Germany).

1992-1998: Director of the Institute of Agronomy of the Federal State Brandenburg, Gueterfelde (Germany).
