Dr. Daniela Quezada-Martinez

My research focuses in new polyploids and hybrids in the Brassica genus, with particular interest in genome stability and gene expression changes. Currently, I am working in understanding if polyploidy affects mutation rates in oilseed rape by analysis whole genome sequence.

  • 2024 – Present: Postdoc with Prof. Dr. Sarah Schießl-Weidenweber.

  • 2018 – 2023: PhD Student with Prof. Dr. Annaliese S. Mason. University of Bonn (Germany). Topic: Genome stability assessment in new diverse Brassica allohexaploid crop types (AABBCC) using molecular karyotyping.

  • 2018: Intern with Prof. Dr. Andras Houben and Dr. Solmaz Khosravi. Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (3 months).
