Culture and Communication
What is „Culture“ and what does intercultural sensitivity and communication mean? Living and working in an intercultural environment can at times seem to be very challenging and can often lead to misunderstandings. In this interesting and interactive workshop, students will learn about cultural differences, how to successfully cope with these differences and how good (cultural) integration works. Students will also be able to enhance their understanding of the close relationship between culture and communication and gain tips for effective cross-cultural communication.
Lecturer: Ms. Robbin Clarissa Bastian works at the International Office of the THM and as a Freelance Intercultural Trainer. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, USA, has spent time abroad in Spain and has been living in Germany since 2005.
