FAQs about the Staff ID Card (JLU Staff Chip Card)
My employment at JLU is starting soon, and I want to know what happens next. When will I receive my chip card? What should I do in case of loss or damage? What should I consider in the event of a name change? On this page, we will answer these questions for you.
ID cards for staff can currently only be issued to individuals whose employment at JLU begins on September 15, 2024 or later (contract start date). The IAM team is working to ensure that existing staff can apply for a JLU chip card in the new design as soon as possible. We ask for your understanding and thank you for your patience.

My name has changed. How do I obtain a new JLU chip card?
Applications for changes to personal data should be submitted to the human resources department. The section responsible for you within the human resources department will process your application and update the information in the personnel system.
Subsequently, you will receive an automated email asking you to upload your photo and confirm a shipping address (since photos cannot be stored for data protection reasons, a new one is required). Your new staff ID card will then be produced and sent to you via post.
