Systematic Theology/Ethics

Teaser

Since its historical origins, Christianity has been a thinking religion, a source of inspiration for individual and social life and a defining cultural factor. The religious-historical peculiarities of Protestantism as a religion of freedom include the scientific ability to explore the foundations of one's own religion historically-critically, to ask religion-critical questions, and to interpret cultural hermeneutics in the horizon of religious-ideological pluralism.

Over time, three branches of Systematic Theology, which have each been constructed differently but are still interlinked in many ways have developed for this purpose:

In dogmatic theology, Christian-religious thinking and interpretation of God, the world, and man are reflected hermeneutically and productively in dealing with problems of theological history and current questions.

Ethics addresses the theory of human life in the context of the history of ethics, current ethical debates and social conflicts.
