Higher Education in Ukraine: Innovative Teaching Methods in Higher Education Students and lecturers in Ukraine are facing severe disruptions due to the ongoing war, including evacuations and power outages. In response, Ukrainian universities are exploring digital and hybrid formats to ensure that teaching and learning continue. Asynchronous methods help maintain course continuity despite interruptions, while AI tools offer personalized learning, automate assessments, and support large numbers of remote students. Gamification techniques motivate students and encourage self-directed learning. To assist lecturers, the Network for Impactful Digital and Innovative Teaching (NIDIT) at JLU Giessen and the Giessen Centre for Eastern Europe (GiZo) are hosting the Ukraine Digital Workshop Series 2024. These workshops focus on digital tools, AI, and innovative teaching strategies in higher education. For more information and registration, visit: Ukraine Digital Workshop Series 2024.
