How to Apply
How to apply for an Erasmus+ traineeship through JLU for Giessen students and graduates:
- Come to our consultation hours, offered every Wednesday and Friday.
- If you have already found an internship, we will check if it complies with the Erasmus+ Traineeship Programme. If it doesn’t comply, we may be able to suggest other schemes for a grant.
- After consulting us, please submit your complete application to us. The documents must include a letter of motivation, your curriculum vitae, documentation of the content of the internship, your “Studienbescheinigung” (enrolment receipt for the current semester at JLU).
- Please send an email request for information about the documentation to be submitted with your application. This is owing to certain formalities that must be observed.
- If the content and formal aspects of your application have been fulfilled and your aptitude has been approved, a report will be written for you and you will be accepted into the programme.
- To receive a grant in this programme, you must take part in an intercultural training course. You will receive online accompaniment from the Regional Contact Point for EU placements during your internship abroad. We will be happy to give you more information about this during our consultation hours. If you have already taken courses in “Intercultural Training” at ZfbK (Centre for Foreign Language Skills and Career Development), these courses may be taken into account.
- If the working language of your internship is English, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Swedish, Greek, Polish, Danish, Czech or Dutch, there will be a compulsory online language test shortly prior to and after your internship. After an initial test, you may have the opportunity to receive a voucher for an online language course to help you improve your acquisition of the respective language.
