VR Easy Speech
VR EASYSPEECH
VR Easy Speech combines artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Train your speaking skills in a variety of training scenarios, e.g. in front of 10 people in a meeting room, give a presentation in front of 250 people in the Audimax or pitch your project on stage in front of 500 people. Choose from a number of modules and receive a detailed evaluation based on a range of quality metrics using artificial intelligence. For more information, see below or in the information brochure.
Book a slot in the Lab for Innovative Teaching. The lab team will be on site and instruct you on how to use the VR headset. You can then practice your speaking and rhetorical skills for as long as you like. All modules, evaluation metrics and training scenarios are freely available to you. You will receive your evaluation directly on site and afterwards by email. All your training data will be deleted after your visit. VR Easy Speech is available in English and German.
Training Scenarios
Meeting Room

Audimax
250 People
Try one of the many modules and practise speaking in front of a large audience.
Conference Room
500 People
The conference room is designed to prepare you for large events such as conferences, meetings or pitches.
Modules
🚀 No more Stage Fright
Many people are nervous before presentations, talks or speeches. In addition to the previous quality metrics, this module displays your pulse after the exercise. Among other things, you can see when you become calmer during your speech. Another focus is on word repetition. Make sure you use a wide vocabulary and don't fall into superfluous phrases.
📣 Argue Confidently
Good rhetoric involves a coherent argument and the targeted use of rhetorical techniques. Emphasise and reinforce your points with dramaturgically appropriate pauses, a good rate of speech and few filler words.
👏 Impromptu Speech
Give a 2-minute impromptu speech on a randomly selected topic. In preparation, you will be shown the topic as a picture 10 seconds before you start your impromptu speech. The topics of the pictures change depending on the level of difficulty. The impromptu speech is the supreme discipline and covers all quality metrics.
👄 Improve Your Voice
Speak loudly and clearly. Make sure that your pronunciation is clear, as your statements and arguments will only be understood if you speak clearly. Speak a little slower if you tend to speak indistinctly.
🧘 Improve Your Body Language
Good body language gives weight to your words! Always make eye contact with your audience. Look at your audience regularly to appear confident and convincing. Good speakers look at each person in the audience for two to four seconds.
💪 More Repartee
Don't get distracted during the meeting. In the virtual meeting room, you can expect interruptions such as questions and comments from the audience, police sirens, mobile phone ringing, and other events that are deliberately designed to throw you off track. The more often you face these situations, the more confident you will be. The speaking time is 3 minutes and all quality metrics will be analysed.
💾 Own Presentation
Practice with your own presentation and receive an evaluation of all quality metrics. Prepare for future presentations and ensure a confident and professional appear
Send us your slides in advance by e-mail or bring your presentation with you on a USB stick.
🐱 Sample Presentation
VR EasySpeech provides you with a sample presentation. This gives you an initial overview of your rhetoric and presentation skills. The speaking time is unlimited and all quality metrics such as speaking speed, eye contact and clarity of pronunciation are evaluated at the end of the presentation. The topic of the presentation is 'From house cat to internet star. Why cat content is so successful'.
🧐 Improve Your Eloquence
Avoid empty phrases! Get to the point in short, meaningful sentences. Filler words such as 'kind of', 'basically' and 'actually' say nothing and devalue what is being said. Plan your sentences in advance to avoid annoying interruptions like 'um'.
🧠 Refuelling Your Thoughts
Perform an 18-minute talk based on your uploaded presentation - just like a keynote speaker. Choose a level of difficulty and receive feedback from prominent keynote speakers and public speaking experts as you perform on stage. But beware: the higher the level of difficulty, the harder it will be to convince the front row, including Jochen Schweizer, Michael Ehlers and Céline Flores Willers. Make sure you do not exceed the time limit for your presentation. So keep an eye on the next slides in your presentation.
