Graduate Education and Support for Early Career Researchers
The systematic promotion of early career researchers has been one of the University's strategic priorities for many years. JLU has four interdisciplinary and interdepartmental graduate centers that offer structured support for doctoral students from all disciplines as well as support opportunities for postdocs. Further support structures exist with the Postdoc Career and Mentoring Office (PCMO) and for tenure track professorships via the Department of Human Resources Development. Science Support is the central advisory and coordination office of the Research Department, in particular for early career researchers in all matters relating to research funding and, in particular, the acquisition of third-party funding.
