Here you will find information and announcements on the various academic prizes and awards at JLU Giessen. In terms of content, the prizes and awards at JLU can be divided into three categories, which you will find in the navigation column on the left. There is also the overarching area of 'Sustainability', in which three prizes are awarded separately for each category.
- Röntgen Prize at Justus Liebig University Giessen
- The prize is awarded for new, outstanding scientific work and services in the field of basic research in radiation physics, photonics or radiation biology. It is primarily intended to honour the work of young scientists.

- Qualification papers
- This prize is awarded for qualification papers in the field of sustainability. All members and affiliates of Justus Liebig University Giessen are entitled to nominate candidates. Self-applications are possible. Based on the calendar year in which the prize is awarded, the evaluation of the qualification thesis may not have been completed more than one year previously. The date of the decision of the examination committee or the doctoral committee is decisive for this.
