Information for Lecturers on Virtual Collaborative Teaching at JLU

International Virtual Collaborative Teaching formats enable teachers to network interculturally, to strengthen academic exchange, and to increase the diversity of their teaching programmes.

Online Teaching – International & Collaborative

International collaborative teaching formats are offered in cooperation with JLU partner universities from all over the world to enhance the high academic standard of teaching offered by JLU.

They are developed and taught jointly by JLU lecturers and teachers from partner universities. Therefore, professors and lecturers coordinate their research interests, bundle their resources, and collaboratively design a seminar.

Teachers are cordially invited to develop and teach courses collaboratively. We will be happy to help you with any questions pertaining to planning, organization, and funding opportunities.

Planning, Preparation, Implementation

The design of the teaching format can be freely planned by lecturers and can be individually adapted to the content-related requirements. Purely digital as well as hybrid courses are possible, which take place as block courses, in a weekly or different rhythm in accordance with semester terms.

The lecturers determine the course language(s), the type of examination and the credit points (CP) to be awarded.

How to: International Collaborative Teaching

The programme "International Virtual Academic Collaboration (IVAC)" of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports international collaborative courses. The programme has funded international collaborative courses at JLU from 2020 until 2023.

In 2022, the DAAD also funded two JLU projects to implement joint digital teaching programmes with partner universities in Ukraine through the programme "Ukraine digital".
