Peer-to-Peer Writing Tutoring Program
Our Peer-to-peer Writing Tutoring Program helps Bachelor and Master students from all academic disciplines to improve their academic writing skills in German, German as a foreign language and English – free of charge.
Do you have to write a term paper or thesis as part of your degree program and just can't seem to find a place to start? Are you having a hard time finding a research question or narrowing down your topic in a meaningful way? Or are you writing your first term paper and don't really know what is expected of you? Our individual writing consultations help you to deal with these and similar problems.
Our services
We offer individual one-on-one consultations and software-based plagiarism checks (PlagAware) by appointment.
We will help you, for example, :
- to deal with all academic writing projects
- to identify and narrow down a topic
- to manage time
- to overcome writer's block
Common topics concerning text feedback include:
- structure and argumentation
- research question(s)
- readability
- academic style
- citation
We do not offer:
- to read whole papers (max. 3 pages per appointment)
- advice on content-related/subject-specific matters
- literature researches
- proofreadings

Until further notice, we cannot offer face-to-face consultations. Instead, all consultations currently take place via BigBlueButton. Unfortunately, the open office hours cannot take place until further notice either, but you are welcome to send us quick questions and minor concerns via email.
