Thin-Film Technology
For the analysis of the thin-film properties (structural, optical, electrical, thermal) a variety of characterization methods are available, which are provided within the framework of the Center for Materials Research. The examined material classes are optoelectronic and photovoltaic coatings as well as materials of energy storage and conversion.
Another focus of the research is the constant further development of existing atomization processes in terms of equipment to increase process flexibility both for the production of novel material combinations and multi-layer systems. One example is the innovative 2DIBS technology.
