The conference will feature 15 individual presentations,- keynote lecture "What can ‘post’ do? Thinking-with the post through memory, place and identity" by Danielle Drozdzewski, PhD (Associate Professor in Human Geography, Stockholm University) and
- keynote lecture "Spirited Away: Identity, Loss, and \cracks\ in Posthumanist Times" by Dr. Báyò Akómoláfé (philosopher, writer, activist, professor of psychology, and executive director of the Emergence Network) and
- a workshop "Weaving Belonging: Unpacking Notions, Practices, and Power Dynamics" by Giovana De Souza Possignolo (GCSC PhD Candidate, who examines the coloniality of the periphery from a Brazilian peripheral feminist activism's perspective).

The conference is organized by members of the Research Area 6 ‘Cultural Identity’, which is a part of the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC). The co-speakers of the Research Area 6, Anastasiia Marsheva and Şahin Yaldiz, developed the conference idea with the support of GCSC Adjunct Research Fellow Dr. Doris Bachmann-Medick.
GCSC is an interdisciplinary graduate centre at the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen, where international doctoral candidates, post-doctoral members, and visiting scholars conduct concept-based study of culture and organize events related to their work on concepts.
