This workshop intends to help participants to integrate the qualities of enthusiasm, commitment, passion, and authenticity into their teaching. The instructor will introduce the subject and suggest ways of overcoming student passivity by integrating active and cooperative learning techniques into the learning situation. Participants can work in groups to prepare their own teaching techniques. Most importantly, the workshop should encourage future teachers to enjoy and learn from their own teaching practices, while at the same time critically questioning their teaching philosophies and approaches to their material and students.
