Anniversary Workshop: Helen Atawube Yitah: New Directions in African and African-American Cultural and Literary Studies

As a follow up to Prof. Helen Atawube Yitah's keynote lecture, this workshop gives the opportunity to open the floor for a deeper discussion of the points raised in the keynote. The workshop will be led by Prof. Yitah and Prof. Stefan Helgesson together who would assume a role of moderators, but will also contribute to the discussion by talking about their current and past projects. Participants will be asked to add to the discussion by presenting the issues and question they are dealing with in their own projects. We ask the participants to prepare short presentations of their projects and send abstracts (around 250 words) and, optionally, a list of questions to Snezana.Vuletic@anglistik.uni-giessen.de by 20.
