Summer Semester 2022
It has been 20 years since the International PhD Programme "Literary and Cultural Studies" (IPP), a pioneer in structured graduate education in Germany, was founded. In celebration of this occasion, the keynote lecture series "New Conjunctures and Directions in Literary and Cultural Studies" took place throughout the summer term with lectures on Wednesday afternoons (14:00), followed by coffee-and-cake receptions. The featured speakers are former coordinators of the IPP, all professors and postdocs working within Germany and internationally, who gave lectures on their current research projects.Conferences
Over the years, the IPP has organized conferences on multiple topics, which allowed the members of the programme and PhD candidates all over the world to present and improve their own research, as well as to learn from international professors who held keynotes on the current developments of cultural and literary studies. Additionally, the IPP works alongside the PhDnet 'Literary and Cultural Studies' organizing the closing conferences of this prestigious international programme.Masterclasses & Workshops
The IPP organises masterclasses and workshops with renowned professors and researchers from around the world. They share their current research with our candidates and discuss contemporary developments in literary theory and history from different perspectives. Some masterclasses are organised as part of the defence of one of our candidates, creating synergies that benefit all members of the centre.
