European Cattle Specialist Veterinarian (ECBHM)
The Chair for Ruminant Diseases and Herd Health Management offers a residency training program accredited by the European College of Bovine Health Management leading to the internationally recognized and protected title title of “European Specialist in Bovine Health Management” (Dipl. ECBHM). The training takes place within the framework of a 3-year employment as a research assistant at the clinic and includes clinical work on individual animals and herd level as well as research activity.

After consultation with the respective colleges, parts of the training for the European Specialist in Reproductive Medicine (European College for Animal Reproduction, ECAR) as well as the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM, section "Large animal") can also be completed with us.

The European Board of Veterinary Specialisation (EBVS) is the umbrella organization for veterinary specialties within Europe. European veterinary specialists are ready to serve the public, its animals, and the veterinary profession by providing high quality service in disciplines as varied as anaesthesia and analgesia, clinical pathology, companion animal or equine internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, pathology, pharmacology and toxicology, public health, and zoological medicine.
