How can behavioral experiments with rodents be made more animal-friendly?

Do animals benefit from preparatory training? Could this even lead to more meaningful data for the researcher?

These questions are at the heart of her doctoral thesis, for which she has been conducting research since 2017 in collaboration with the Translational Animal Research Center at the University Medical Center Mainz.

She is supported by Professor Krämer and her external supervisors on-site, always with the goal of making comprehensive training and refinement measures for all test animals increasingly a standard practice.
