Buddy-Program
Is this your first time at the EPSY conference, or your first time at a conference at all?
This year’s EPSY conference will feature a buddy program to make it easier for conference newcomers to find their way around and make new contacts. This involves assigning conference newcomers (mentees) to tandems with experienced conference participants (mentors).
You can register for the Buddy Program by registering in Converia. Before the start of the conference, the buddy program team will form tandems and send you each other's email addresses. From this point there are no set guidelines. We recommend at least one face-to-face meeting during the conference, e.g. at the social evening, during a coffee break, or even outside the official program. At these meetings, mentors can share helpful advice on the conference schedule (e.g., »How do I decide which sessions to attend?« or »How do I minimize stress during a packed conference day?«). Also, exchanging information on research interests or introducing the mentees to other colleagues are ways of giving them a good start into the EPSY community. In general, mentors can also be approached with questions before and during the conference.
