VivaVox
The project VivaVox aims to provide a first introduction into the basics of historicising pronunciation of the Latin language. It is designed for self-organised learning of Latin teachers who already have the basic of pronunciation skills, and provides practice material and self-assessment opportunities on all levels, from the individual sound to the sentence and short texts. Form paradigms are also given here in historicising pronunciation - they are particularly important because they allow systemic learning.
In the introduction, the main pronunciation aspects are compiled in the form of short self-learning units. Via the menu item Audio Samples, you have access to numerous samples from declination, conjugation, as well as sentences that are useful for teaching purposes. The exercises allow you to assess what you have learned with other audio samples. Under the heading Rules, you have access to a table that summarises the most important pronunciation rules with the help of further audio samples.
