Hermann Zemlicka Award for "most visionary paper" at the NeuroIS Retreat 2023
The study "Customer Decision-Making Processes Revisited: Insights from an Eye Tracking and ECG Study using a Hidden Markov Model" wins the Hermann Zemlicka Award
Our study "Customer Decision-Making Processes Revisited: Insights from an Eye Tracking and ECG Study using a Hidden Markov Model" was awarded the Hermann Zemlicka Award for the "most visionary paper" at the NeuroIS Retreat 2023. The virtual commerce study by Tobias Weiß, Lukas Merkl and Prof. Dr. Jella Pfeiffer combines eye tracking, electrocardiography and virtual reality with the aim of identifying decision phases in two different purchase scenarios.
Every year, the retreat's organising team presents the Hermann Zemlicka Award for the "most visionary paper" as a tribute to Dr. Hermann Zemlicka. Dr. Zemlicka was an Austrian politician and councillor in the municipality of Gmunden. His significant contribution to the founding of the annual NeuroIS Retreat is thus honoured.
