Since for fundamental physics communities the building of ever refined instruments and the subsquent amassing of huge amounts of digital data play a crucial role already since the late 1980s, some of their data processing steps have also well established structures. Analysing the different approaches of our communities provide some guidance into the potential and the direction of further work.
Speaker: Dr. Harry Enke, Leibniz-Institut für Astrophysik Potsdam (AIP); Head of department Supercomputing and E-Science
Chair: Dr. Ortrun Brand, HeFDI Coordination Team, Philipps-University of Marburg
The event will be held in English. Click here to register https://t1p.de/3oghd.
The HeFDI Data Talks (https://t1p.de/f1tf3) are a series of events that takes place every second Friday from 11h to 12h. Here, current topics and offers on data and software management are presented and discussed. The talks are aimed at researchers and teachers in Hesse and throughout Germany, but also at the data management community and stakeholders. Like the state initiative HeFDI, the Data Talks are funded by the Hessian Ministry of Science and the Arts (HMWK).
