International students and doctoral students
You have to give a presentation in one of your seminars and are not quite sure how? Maybe you already delivered some presentations, but you didn't get the feedback you desired? Don’t panic! In this seminar, together with fellow students, we will answer all your questions. Starting with the structure of a presentation, the course will also teach practical tricks on how to put together your slide deck, how to stay calm and how to present yourself in front of others to level up your presentation game. This course regards on-campus as well as online presentations.
Content:
- Structure and design of a good presentation
- How you and others perceive yourself (on stage)
- Breathing and body exercises for a good impression
- Coping strategies to master stage fright
Instructor: Jacqueline Erlach
Jaqueline Erlach has studied M.A. Speech Science in Marburg and works as a workshop trainer for several universities. She has worked with different national and international groups as she was travelling around Europe for about a year. Now back to being a freelance seminar leader, she offers workshops on goal setting, voice training, motivation, rhetoric, self-presentation and moderation in work groups.
