Context
The summer school is part of the model project IMPACCT (International Mobility with Partners Abroad for Culturally Competent Teachers) which is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. All funded projects focus on the internationalisation of teacher education.
The target group of IMPACCT at Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) are students of Primary Education and Lower-Secondary Education with the Subjects Islamic, Catholic and Protestant Religion. Our network comprises seven universities: University of Innsbruck, University College of Teacher Education Vienna/Krems and Paris Lodron University Salzburg (Austria), Stockholm University (Sweden), University of Fribourg (Switzerland), Bursa Uludağ University and Marmara University (Turkey).
Programme
From September 11-15, 2023, the IMPACCT project hosts the first summer school on campus in Giessen. You are cordially invited to be part of an international group of fellow students and lecturers sharing an interest in religious education and ethics instruction. In the context of lectures, workshops and group discussions, you will be presented with a variety of approaches to the topic, for example pedagogical-didactical, theological or theoretical.
