On foot or by bike from the city center
The easiest way for pedestrians and cyclists to get to the iFZ is via Ludwigstraße and then left into Leihgesterner Weg to the campus portal (JLU stele), there via the ramp to the left of the old chemical building (follow the signs “Footpath to the iFZ”) directly to the Main entrance of the iFZ.
You will find an information board in the foyer.
By train, then on foot
The walk from Gießen train station to the iFZ takes about 20 minutes: After leaving the train station, go right over the footbridge over the train tracks. Follow Friedrichstraße straight ahead (cross Frankfurter Straße), then keep right into Wartweg, cross the Aulweg intersection, after approx. 300 m turn left into Heinrich-Buff-Ring, via the signposted footpath to the main entrance of the iFZ.
You will find an information board in the foyer.
By train, then by bus
on foot approx. 700 m to Röntgenstraße, bus line 3 to the dental clinic, from there approx. 500 m on foot.

By train, then by taxi
Taxis at the station forecourt. Destination: iFZ, Heinrich-Buff-Ring 26 (approx. 5 euros)
Coming by car from the A5
Coordinates: 50.56944, 8.67297
Departure highway exit Fernwald
Direction Gießen on the B457 to Gießen, then
turn left onto the A485 towards Frankfurt to the next exit, then
Departure Schiffenberger Tal, University,
turn towards Giessen,
behind the REWE supermarket, turn left into Sandkauterweg,
follow the road (second exit of the roundabout, turn right before the railway line) to the level crossing,
left over the level crossing and then
second street left into Ohlebergsweg,
drive up to the end of the street and then
turn right into Leihgesterner Weg.
After 50m turn left to the parking lot.
From the parking lot: go back to the entrance, then over the paved ramp to the main entrance of the iFZ (red porch).

By plane
After arrival at Frankfurt/Main airport, take the train to Frankfurt main station, from there on to Gießen.
