Annual Conference of the DVPW Working Group Environmental Politics and Global ChangeOn March 5 and 6, 2020, the TANNRE project joined the Annual Conference of the DVPW Working Group "Environmental Politics and Global Change" in Darmstadt. The conference aimed to take stock of the SDGs five years after their adoption to provide an impact analysis from the perspective of political sciences.

First International TANNRE Workshop in GiessenOn November 8 and 9, TANNRE hosted its first international workshop at Justus Liebig University Giessen. Twenty experts from various fields such as political science, environmental politics and nutritional science came together to discuss the topic “Sustainability at the Crossroads? Norm Contestation in the Global Regime Complex for Food”.

Michael Böcher from Bio-Ecopoly visits TANNREThe TANNRE team welcomed Prof. Dr. Michael Böcher (Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg), representing the cooperating partner Bio-Ecopoly, in Giessen on August 29. Both projects presented their current work and discussed the future of environmental research.

Paper Presentation at ECPR General Conference 2018 in HamburgFrom August 22 to 25, the TANNRE team attended the ECPR General Conference in Hamburg. As part of the panel “Normative Divides in Post-Exceptionalist Agri-Food Governance“, the project presented its first conference paper.

The submitted paper proposal “Global Food Governance in the Era of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: Assessing Norm Contestation and Conflict Management” has been accepted.

Second Visit of Cooperating Partner Andreas KlinkeCooperating partner Prof. Dr. Andreas Klinke from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, came to Justus Liebig University on February 6 and 7 in order to support the work of the TANNRE project. It was the second time that Professor Klinke joined the TANNRE team in Giessen.
