Research

The Janek research group works in the field of physical chemistry with a focus on the electrochemistry of solids. This includes research on solid-state batteries and exotic cell chemistries.
 
Various electrochemical and analytical methods such as TOF-SIMS, FIB-SEM, EBSD and XPS are used to characterize the materials and batteries.

The Janek research group brings together personalities from a wide variety of countries such as the USA, Japan, China and, of course, Germany. Great importance is attached to a pleasant and inclusive working atmosphere.

Network

The Janek research group is involved in many national and international research projects. These include the management of the research cluster for solid-state batteries “FestBatt” and participation in the cluster of excellence for battery research “POLIS”. 
 
In addition, we work in projects with industrial partners to answer practical questions related to physical chemistry.
