Workshop objectives
The goal of the workshop is to raise attendees’ awareness on some strategic matters when building one’s track record as an author of scientific peer reviewed journal articles. Ideally, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of (a) themselves as authors (what is my identity? What are my relative ‘strengths’? What are my relative ‘weaknesses’?) and as co-authors (how to offer / manage each others’ strengths and weaknesses in the collaboration processes? how to network and with whom?), of (b) the journal landscape (where should I submit?) and the publication process relevant to their field (how to handle the R&R process?), and (c) related trivia as identified by attendees as relevant for them to be discussed (e.g. on opportunity spotting, how to write a lot, …).
The course will be held in English.
