Research interests

I am especially interested in the thermoregulatory behaviour of bats. As heterothermic mammals bats are able to reduce their body temperature close to ambient temperature. This reduction allows for great energy savings. However, the extent is influenced by e.g. food availability, sex, and reproductive state. Currently, I am preparing my PhD thesis with focus on thermoregulatory behaviour in reproductive bats.
