Description: | This seminar centres on the analysis of populism and offers the students the chance to learn the basics of democracy, authoritarianism and populism. Furthermore, using the current examples for analysis, this seminar aims at answering the following questions: What is the role of perception in politics? Can an electorate be manipulated? What is the role of the media? Moreover, can our democracies (and political systems) survive the new digital age of populism?
